CLASSIC DESIGN CONCEPTS INTRODUCES NEW SHAKER HOOD SYSTEM FOR 2008-09 DODGE CHALLENGER DETROIT – April 22, 2009 – Classic Design Concepts, an innovative leader in the automotive restyling industry, has released a new Shaker Hood System for the 2008-09 Dodge Challenger R/T and SRT8 models. For enthusiasts who want to change their factory twin scooped hood, Classic Design Concepts also offers a composite “flat hood” for use with or without the Shaker system. Now, enthusiasts of this iconic American muscle car can modify their Challenger with this high-performance Shaker Hood System. “The 2008-09 Dodge Challenger R/T and SRT8 Shaker Hood System is a great way for Challenger owners to give their factory cars a more aggressive and retro look,” noted George Huisman, president of Classic Design Concepts. “In addition to improving the Challenger’s overall character, the unit is also functional. It forces outside cold air into the factory or aftermarket air box and is designed to work with or without the composite ‘flat hood’. We based the design on ’70-’71 Challengers and Cudas. We also gave it a great looking engine cover that includes a stamped steel Shaker ‘Bubble’ scoop. The hood features a more modern styling and is updated with today’s latest materials. This unit will be a big hit for owners who are looking to personalize their stock Challenger without busting their budget.” The Shaker hood scoop is available in a black powder coat finish or unpainted. The Shaker kit includes all mounting hardware, ductwork, template and detailed instructions. Installation can be completed in three hours or less with basic tools. Classic Design Concepts is also releasing a composite Resin Transfer Molding (RTM) “flat hood” for 2008 -09 Dodge Challenger models. The CDC Challenger hood retains the original character lines while eliminating the raised twin factory scoops. It is available with or without the hole pre cut for the Shaker scoop. The new Challenger “flat hood” is OE tested for durability and performance, offers an excellent fit and maintains the OEM-style crush initiators. All production mounting hardware, such as struts and latching mechanisms, can be used in the installation.
